On the 4th of March the Cricket Victoria Sports Development Program students had organised a cricket clinic for the classes at Nelson Park, Colac and Barwon Valley all abilities schools. The clinics main aim was to get the kids to have fun and get involved in cricket. The clinic focused on 4 areas of cricket (Bowling, batting, throwing and catching). With students from Cricket Victoria Sports Development Program moving around the drills with their group.
It was a windy and cold day but that didn't stop the enjoyment had by all. The clinic was very valuable for both SDP students and all abilities students. it gave the SDP students a chance to further there experience in the Sport and Recreation industry and also gain further knowledge on how to teach a clinic - in particular how to teach a group where communication may sometimes be an issue. The all abilities students were very keen to participate and got better at the game as the day progressed.
The clinic was a major success despite the weather which just goes to show how well the CVSDP students are going in the course.
