Cricket Australia and Cricket Victoria are committed to making it easier for people with disabilities to participate in cricket ie cricket needs to be more inclusive and improve access to a wide range of non-traditional participants including women, indigenous communities, non-English speaking people and of course people with disabilities
The Barwon Region has a senior disability League consisting of 6 club based teams (Newcomb, Collendina, GeelongCity, Sth Barwon, Colac and Werribee). It is called the Barwon All Abilities Cricket League (BAACL) and plays a series of matches at central venues during the cricket season. Barwon also enters teams in the State All Abilities Day held in Melb in Feb – Barwon won the first 2 super league cups
The Special Schools program consists of several school clinics being conducted in the 3 schools (Colac, BarwonValley and Nelson Park) and culminates in the all abilities day that was held at Kardinia Park.
